his murder and aggravated assault charges are dropped in exchange for his testimony against Sweeting and Oakley.

The family of Kellye Smith, Richard Lollar's then-fiancé who was pregnant at the time, sues Lewis (on behalf of her and Lollar’s daughter) for $13 million. They also reach a settlement, which includes a confidentiality clause.

Honestly, watching football players up close from three major college programs and two NFL teams, a shite load of them hang out with the wrong crowd at times and put themselves in situations where they might end up making decisions based on their future earnings versus the truth.
Be it a college player accused of getting paid, a college coach caught with a woman not his wife, a future HOF quarterback texting pictures of his dick to chicks not his wife, a player involved in a bar fight that leads to serious injuries and even death...any time I see that shite in the past few years I think "there but for the grace of God goes one of my favorite players/coaches".
Nothing Ray did in that situation was right, but the holier-than-thou postulating gets old. A shitton of the guys we cheer for on the field are one mistake away from being caught in a bad situation, because the lifestyles they lead and the people who suck up to them aren't normal.
Go ahead and feel superior, but don't mind me when I thank Jesus it wasn't Mett or Chavis or Hill in that situation.
Oh...wait...one of them *did* find themselves in serious trouble not that long ago.
Huh. I must have missed the threads about how people were pulling against the Tigers because of said person who got in serious legal trouble that went away now being a star player on our team.

These threads are so retarded. From those quotes we are supposed to think Lewis is a murderer, right?
