That and he's gotten his feet wet. WRs seemed to have improved on the earlier season drops. Only thing I can see is OL because I have no doubt that he gets the deep ball down packed. Footwork can be improved to avoid some sacks, but I think if we can somehow get a solid OL then the stone feet won't be too much of an issue.

His internal clock has to get better. He has to get the ball out. When the pocket collapses early, or the back fails to pick up a blitz, that's on the protection - in all other cases, whether it be a max blitz or he holds the ball too long - he HAS to get the ball out, and it has to be a smart throw. That's the gig - that's the job - that's the deal. I know I make it sound easy (it isn't), but I'm really trying to say that it is not that complicated. One-mississippi-two-mississippi-three-mississippi-throw - either where nobody can catch it (but not grounding), OR a catchable ball. Everybody groans when the QB throws it away and every player on the team wants to make a play, but that's the deal.

Deliver the ball (securely) or throw it away (securely). That's the job description. That's the 411. That's it.

That's what i'm saying and that can be taught or learned through experience. As time goes by, good QBs learn to decrease the INTs and increase the TDs.

Being as immobile as he was and the OL looking anywhere from God awful to decent enough, really hindered him the most. Faster QBs don't really need the 3 second rule as they can move from the pocket and make plays on the run, but with his feet he should take it that as carved in stone.
