Live with Bobby Blue Bland is really good. Is a double album, on a CD probably. Bland takes over a little, might have been drunk. I know BB stopped the dual concerts right after this. I saw them at Memphis in May about 1998. Just a little more up tempo rock n roll, less blues.

Last King concert I attended was at Austin's Armadillo World Headquarters in 1976. It was Freddie, and the show was just a few months before he died.

He sits down in a chair now the whole time except the last song
I saw him about a year or two ago. He came out late, was wheeled out in a wheelchair then sat his chair the whole time. He had some other guy with him who sat beside him and played most of the songs. BB would chime in and sing/play whenever he felt like it. If his health was that poor then, I can't imagine what he does on stage now.

I'm going to see him in April in Durham.

I saw him about a year and a half ago and he wasn't good. His band does all the work. He hit a few licks, sang a bit but mostly talked. Short show too.
Now, Buddy Guy opened for him that night and was on fire. He put on one hell of a show for us.
BB, I wouldn't go see again. For Buddy, I'd travel some miles and stand in line.
The difference between those two that night was both astounding and sad. BB should of given Buddy his appearance fee for that night.
