As a Falcons fan - pretty sure we're the friggin' Cubs of the NFL. I do find it funny how hated we are by Saints fans though.
Why wouldn't the shittiest fanbase in all of sports be hated?

Yea, I'm good now. For a while I wasn't sure the better team won. When I cooled off and watched a replay - they did.
49ers outplayed them brilliantly in the 2nd half. Very good adjustments offensively and defensively.

Because being hated usually means someone's jealous of you. There's not much to be jealous of a falcons fan over. Trust me.
Which is why it amuses me that some Saints fans actually hate ATL fans so much.
ETA: Pretty sure that no one else in the NFL hates ATL or its fans. Surely there's one or 2 but for the most part - nah.

We've been trading the division title back and forth for a bit. It's not hard to figure out.

Glad you made it thru DD.
But I still have not been able to watch last years loss to the 49ers.

Maybe cause it's always been a rivalry? And then you have some ATL fans that are well..........

Meh, Falconslife has some real idiots on there.
I'm sure ATL will do decent next year and crush my spirits again.
My lovable losers. God Bless Them.

Some other awesome quotes:
They have to keep building the illusion that they are impartial and unbiased.
quote:
Because Ryan wasn't on every newspaper and tv channel all week. Thus why Kapernick got his penalty for a ***** slap to the face mask but Ryan gets a dislocated shoulder and nothing????? Honestly I'm surprised the refs didn't call him for unsportsmanlike conduct for grabbing his shoulder in pain
quote:
For some unknown reason the rest of the NFL world completely dismisses the Atlanta Falcons. The NFL hierarchy does not want to see a super bowl with the Falcons as a participant. They've even gone so far as to rig games through selective calls by the game officials. Why is that? What are the falcons do disrespected? There has to be an explanation.
quote:
You don't understand. By allowing just a little bit of success, they can create some cover for later when they get accused of fixing games. They actually selectively make calls, or not make calls depending on the situation, which change the game. It's not a crazy theory. It's the way it is.
They have to keep building the illusion that they are impartial and unbiased.
quote:
They will allow Atlanta to become a number 1 seed to help strengthen and build a fan base. This helps add dollars to the bottom line. Fans will be all geeked up next year and ticket sales will soar. Then they can pull the rug out from under you in the playoffs at least one more time until they wear you down, then move on to some other neglected fan base. It's all cyclical. When ticket sales and revenues decline they start over.
Do you think the super bowl would be a ratings giant in LA if a west coast team wasn't involved? More than half the USA wouldn't care about an Atlanta vs Baltimore or New England super bowl. The entire west coast is waiting to see how the young phenom QB handles the pressure of a super bowl. If it was Matt Ryan vs Flacco..... who cares.
Stevie Wonder can see this stuff clearly.
quote:
Truth is no1 wanted to see the falcons tehy all wanted ravens vs 9ers, brother vs brother, ray lewis last dance. Also nice to see that the ravens never once got called for defensive hold or PI against the best pass attack in the patriots nor did they get called for any offensive holds.

You one of the few, wait you might be the only falcon fan that's alright in my book.

rivalry is great for this game, but those dumbasses that keep talking about "katrina should have wiped you guys clean" and shite like that, that's just overboard. I think I hear it the most from ATL fans so I hate them the most.

Honestly, I hope he comes back but I think he's gonna take a month or 2 and decide.
I take the man at his word though and I think he's probably done.
Like I said the other day though, he's probably worth at LEAST 2 wins this season on clutch 3rd down plays. Losing him will... hurt, plain and simple.
