I don't know if they were friends or knew each other beforehand, but even if they did it doesn't mean teo was in on it. Roniah seems like a weird frick who's apparently used this same persona in the past to meet athletes. I think teo didn't want to admit to friends that he had never met this love of his life so he started lying about where he met her. Then roniah had to kill her off before the Stanford game this year because there'd be no excuse why she couldn't meet him.

Just the cat fishing aspect requires too many leaps of faith
Then you add the interviews, inconsistencies and constant lying, which at this point (I reiterateis a proven fact) and it becomes too nonsensical and convoluted to believe without any evidence to suppor it
