Turned me on to rock & roll and inspired me to play drums...

For two obviously very different reasons these albums had a huge impact on my music listening at an early age:
Discovered Metallica with a lot of people when I bought the Black album on cassette. Delved deeper in their discography and soon realized they were without question the greatest heavy metal band of all time. Ride The Lightning to me embodies what is right about metal. The song structure, the lyrics and the solos on here are phenomenal.
Every song on this album gets me. I know all the words on this album. Crosby, Stills and Nash were already huge but adding Neil Young just put them over the top for me. If the album just had the song "Helpless" on it that would still make it a classic. Add on to that; Woodstock, Deja Vu, Carry On, Our House... and you have sonic nirvana for me.
