January 2, 1982. Chargers at Dolphins. Don Strock completes 29 of 43 passes for 403 yards and 4 touchdowns IN RELIEF of an ineffective David Woodley. Strock entered the game in the 2nd quarter with the Dolphins trailing 24-0. The Chargers would win in OT, 41-38.

I have seen a lot of football in my day and that game still ranks in my top 5 ever.

it was the greatest football game I have ever seen

Strock is a good one, many solid mentions

If I could, I would ask people to refrain from what happened yesterday (any sport, any time) as being the "greatest ever"

comes across as someone who has a limited view of sports history

:offsoapbox:

eta: and to make sure some folks understand me, that Miami-SD playoff game is the GREATEST FOOTBALL GAME OF ALL-TIME

It was crazy and to share my point, I still think of that game occasionally, that is how much is stands out to me, after 30 years
