Forshner Victorinox knives are just as good and 1/4 the price.
I have Wusthof and a Henckels and I prefer the Forshner.
Takes a little getting use to its so light.
But check out this review.

If he's really in to knives look up Stelton I guarantee he'll have a knife no one else does and it's an amazing knife
