Thanks for the added ambiance. My head set mic won't work for some reason, but apparently the built in one on my laptop picks up my voice well enough for my brother to hear me, so I'm going with that tonight.

I have a Steelseries headset but recently purchase a nice set of headphones and never want to take them off.
So this is set-up I am going with now:
1. Headset (These damn things are so comfortable you never want to take them off)
Beyer Dynamic DT 990 Premium
2. Condenser Mic (It is great but can't use it at night while the GF is sleeping, you need to talk up to much)
Audio Technica AT2020

What I would purchase if I haven't invested in my setup already would be a cheap lapel mic.
You can have a pair of extremely good headsets and the comfort of this little mic. The plus is you have a pair of headphones you can wear while you aren't gaming.
