I think the word "genius" is grossly displaced here, but I do believe that Miles can open the playcalling to more diversity and aggressiveness when he wants to.

That's the frustrating part. He never wants to.

I think inability to execute forces his hand not to many times.
If you can't hit the mid to deep pass route, how long do you keep trying and forcing unfavorable down and dist?
I think more Slot and TE Stick, Smash and intermediate stuff proving you can move the chains, make safeties tentative for runs, is in order before you waste downs on bombs.

Agreed. See his OSU offenses. He didn't have a D to rely on then though.
