college ball just has to eliminate the endless TV timeouts that made (for example) the ULL-East Carolina bowl drag
and that was a close game with a somewhat good atmosphere. even a great LSU game in Tiger Stadium drags.
i've never been to a Saints game that dragged like that. I watched the Texans and Bengals playoff game and it seemed commercial free compared to some college games
