I think with offensive improvement (whether that's coaching or basic scheme changes) lsu could try to challenge next year. But will be hard to over come a lot of defensive losses and that tough schedule.

But there is a bright future with the haul lsu is bringing in this year in recruiting and the 2014 class looks all kinds of epic.

I fully believe that the criticism of this team in 2012 was due mainly to that one game, despite it following the best season in LSU football history.

I can at least respect when someone admits that they're holding a grudge instead of trying to pretend to be impartial or not biased.

I think many of the Miles bashers over the years have latched onto something that they'll never let go of.

For many, it was wearing the Madonna headset while losing the UT game after Rita in 2005.

For others, it was the road losses to top 5 teams with our most talented team ever IMO in 2006.

For others, it was the Arkansas loss in 2007, despite the fact that that loss did not prevent us from winning the SEC or BCSNCG.

For others, it was the co-DCs, which Pelini and all players endorsed fully and he remedied after 1 season.

For most, it was Ole Miss in 09 or Tennessee in 2010, despite improving from 8 to 9 to 11 wins over that stretch.

2011 didn't change their opinions, and they sat in angry silence until we got the all time screw job and had to play Bama again and they rejoiced in our collapse so that they could say TOLD YOU SO!!!!

For the rest, 1/9 was the last straw.

Fortunately, many fans like myself have been able to put the game in perspective and behind us and were proud of a team that won 10 games, and was THIRTEEN points from winning them all in 2012.

We look forward to 2013, and another year of great football at the highest level.

This is free entertainment for me. I see it as therapy in the sense of watching other people who have more problems than I do. Makes me feel mentally healthy.
