Sounds to me, he is pretty surprised that people actually took the whole writing a book thing serious.

shep was never going to be a QB in the NFL. think about guys like herb tyler and eric crouch, tommy frazier, shite tebow's probably on his way out.
point is, making him a skill player was probably the best shot he had. while he was great running the ball he didn't have the size to not be on the injured list all the time as an RB, so WR or CB was the way to go.
he was given his best opportunity to make it in the league. even if he couldn't hack it as a WR, i'm surprised he wasn't used more running the ball. whatever. best of luck to him .

Why would you read it? What has he done in his life to this point that is so exciting you would want to read a book about it?
