This whole thing about being predictable is a myth, you are not going to fool anybody at this level. You must dominate the line of scrimage and the play calling would not be a huge issue. If you dominate the line and you excute your plays LES or whoever is going to be a guru of play calling.

Totally agree with this. What's so special about Bama's offense? They have a dominant line, two stud RBs, and a competent QB. If LSU had that then it would be a different story.

Their passing game is infinitely more developed than ours.

Okay? but, but, but when you do not have a dominant line, two stud RBs, and a competent QB, shouldn't you have done something differently in terms of play calling to increase your chance of victory? Isn't that why we pay such a high price to hire a coach? If Les Miles can only win games when he have everything that Saban has, then he doesn't deserve to be paid this high. My grandfather could have done the same thing with Saban's roster.

Well said. Our '03 and '07 championships both came with smart, competent game manager QBs running the offense.
