I'll temper that by saying, I think Nike is cognizant of how important "red, white and blue" is as a design element for the national team, and the tradition that entails (even as it relates to other arenas like Olympic teams).... So, I really don't think they'd stray to far from that.
Though, they did put the women in black jerseys a couple years back (and gold) a few years prior, so the precedent is there.
They also released the black Brasil jerseys a couple years ago, stating they would worn for an upcoming match (and causing an uproar) and backtracking on that idea. (I think.)
I'm not saying Nike would put us in platinum and neon.... I'm saying Nike swings a bigger stick than USSF does in deciding if we did or not.
