When anon says the authorities need to look at that guys email account, how are they suppose to when anon has the passwords? How are the authorities suppose to get a hold of anon?

at a hearing over this evidence, let's just imagine the questioning
"so you were given access to an e-mail account by a person who admitted to cracking the account?"
"yes"
"do you know when they cracked the account, exactly?"
"no"
"do you have any way of verifying the defendant did what he's accused of doing and that i wasn't the person who cracked his account?"
"no"
"and the person who cracked this account isn't present to testify to these facts, correct?"
"that is correct"
"also, the person who cracked this e-mail account committed felonies when doing so, correct?"
"that is correct"
"so you're trying to use evidence obtained via felony by a person who has allegedly admitted to accessing and manipulating the account, with no real way to determine when that illegal access began and the access of the defendant ceased?"
"...yes"
sounds like a slam dunk to me.
