I have a question about K Cups

So I got a Keurig last night and I was browsing K Cups on Amazon when a question occurred to me. Are the calories in a K Cup comparable to a regular cup of coffee? I usually drink community dark roast, black and I know it's 5 calories max per cup. I see K Cups that have donut flavors and what not and it occurred to me that they may be unhealthy. Any help here is appreciated.

I think they're probably about the same, but there's no nutritional info to be found on the packaging. I don't think the flavored ones actually have sugar or anything in them that would jack up the calories.

Congrats on the Keurig! I really wish Community would get on board and offer their product to the K cup market. I drink Starbucks in my Keurig but would prefer to drink Community.

I ordered a reusable k cup so that I could still have my community. I got mine on Amazon and it should be in later this week. I'd like to try some of these other flavors, but I don't want to take in 100 extra calories every day

That's going to be the title of my upcoming book. "I Drink Starbucks In My Keurig: Essays On The Modern American Wasteland"

they couldn't, without Green Mountain. One of the owners of a shop around here that sells wholesale and retail K-Cups told me that all K-cups are manufactured by the same company, Green Mountain. Until last month, it was proprietary but the patents on two pieces of the machinery were expiring.
He said that was going to open up the K-Cup market for other companies who wanted to manufacture their own but not go through Green Mountain. Including his. he sells to a lot of businesses in bulk and wanted to sell a 'house' brand to them in the K-Cups and now he'd be able to.
I am not sure how much of this is accurate - we had the conversation a few months ago.
But he told me that with the expiring patent, Keurig was developing a new unit (which ended up being the Vue system) so that it can capitalize on new technology since the patents were running out on the old one.
So they are pushing the new Vue now.
The guy also told me that Starbucks was coming out with their own machine about the same time as the patent expiration and I'm assuming that ended up being the Verismo.
What I am hoping is that with the patent expiration, Community can manufacture their own since they'd be able to do so now, without going through Keurig.
Until then, I use the Reusable K-Cup for my Community coffee and if they never do release K Cups for Community, I've gotten pretty accustomed to this and it works when I just need a single cup.

We get it. You're so awesome and above using a Keurig. People who want a quick cup of coffee at home are idiots, and you laugh at them. Congratulations.
Now shut up about it.
Now shut up about it.

Seriously that guy is one of the most detestable count of all time. If he died of pancreatic cancer tomorrow, this would be a better forum.

If you don't like them for whatever reason, that's fine. State your beliefs once unless explicitly asked.
Don't go in every Keurig thread and be a douche about it. Seriously, that crap gets old.
Now, now. C'mon. Not worth all that.
