quote:well, we got started.. he calibrated and set everything up and ran the first 25 and then i did 175... only have 800 more to go..
So your buddy came through for you this evening?

At this rate you'll be done by summer time.

well, he likes to talk as much as i do and as you probly know, that presents a problem when reloading. actually getting things set up is what took the longest... ended up being about a hundred an hour... it'll be alot quicker next time and i won't be quiet as nervous and shaky hands..

What ya reloading, geauxt?

I need about 50 of those 223 OG specials when you finish. I'm sure I can find something to trade.

What ya reloading, geauxt?
ain't actually reloading, loading, cause it's all new..
im using amscor brass, imr 4198 powder with 22 g's per, length set at 2.246 per with a 223 barnes 50 grain soft pernt coming out of there at about 3100 fps.. Just a nice comfortable mid range ride with a lot of cushion to give..

Question for geauxt and other reloaders... With current prices, how much per rd can you reload 223 for?
Is a single press oaky for a beginner or should I just get the big boy to start?

I've been looking at getting the RCBS Rockchucker supreme. It can be converted from single stage to Progressive.

Aw yeah? How much they run?
Posted on 1/27/13 at 7:53 pm to Uncle JackD
im embarassed to say, honestly, i paid too much, but i got tired of this deal, that deal, etc. etc. i got 1k brass with primers already set, 1k barnes sp's from one guy and bought 3 lbs of powder, might be a half pound short.. This is brand new reloadable brass and a high dollar bullet, so that cost a hair more, but it's gonna be about .50-.53 per when i get through.. this was my first time, so i don't really know about different set ups... calibrating everything in the beginning is what takes the most time..

quote:ouch. Well I guess this'll go down quite a bit when you start reloading that new brass you bought.
