They were both great guys and as funny in person as in the shows. They were true characters.
Part of the first deer hunting video was shot at the property of Tiki tubing in Watson. The owner shot a nice buck with a bow. He was also the producer of the Suckered In Deer sucker. I worked for him at the time and was fortunate enough to get to travel and work some hunting shows for him across the south. We got to work with TK and Mike a few times because of his friendship.
At a show in Birmingham, mike walked by our booth 3 times coming from his car. He was carrying his cash register box. Thing is, they brought the register in without the box. Went down to his booth and it turned that they were bringing in beer in ice chest. So instead of $4 beers, we drank free all weekend. TK and Mike were in such high demand at these shows that no one was going to say anything to them.
I heard about one of them passing a few years ago from one of the other guys that worked with us. Not sure what the other is p to these days.
That duck gun was made of PVC. My all time favorite was the Porto pooter, just pop the top and let em drop!
