Terrible news. I won't get caught up into this thread again but I'll reiterate how absolutely ridiculous it is that we expect to stay this competitive when all our money goes to the university because they can't deal with its own budgetary mishaps.

I'm not sure why you framed it this way - the athletic department is a smaller part of the university as a whole... and the university as a whole is getting destroyed by budget cut after budget cut.
LSU is not going to be a legitimate university if this continues

The budgetary problems are caused by the states consitution not the damned university.
