On a week to week basis SEC defenses are still comprised of 18-22 year old kids. They are bigger, stronger, and more athletic than other conferences but will still frick up, blow coverages, get beaten by good offenses. I think when given a month to prepare for one opponent and really go over a gameplan you see just how talented they are. If more SEC schools stressed aggressive offense like A&M I think you'd see the league's offensive production go up for sure on a weekly basis. You likely wouldn't see the track meets because defenders won't get gashed on 80 yard runs due to their speed, but you would see more games in the high 20s low 30s like the bama/uga championship game.
