Of course he does, but it's probably not good to publicly question your first year head coach when you're trying to improve the organization's image. Rooney/Mara let their GM and coach do their job, Davis had been much more hands on. I won't be surprised if mckenzie doesn't make it past next year.

Davis is in a tough spot.
The fans were going nuts, especially the unfortunate souls who actually live in Oakland.
Hue Jackson had "this" team at 8-8 -- not really, since the roster is depleted of the depth and 5 starters, due to cap constraints, but most fans don't care.
Thus, Davis has to say something to make sure people keep paying for tickets.
He was quiet until there were 20,000 unsold tickets. Then he made some noise.
Again, don't put much into this 'story.' McKenzie isn't going anywhere for a while.
