All I want is a legitimate argument.

The number 1 player on the #1 team plus 7ints just isn't enough to be considered the best player in CFB

I agree and not just because i'm an Aggie fan Manti is a good lb not a great lb and would only play in situational defenses in the SEC

JFF should clearly win it. Anyone else gets it is a fricking sham. That said, just looked at the season stats... only LSU held JFF to 0 passing TDs and 0 rushing TDs

a rudimentary understanding of football is all one needs really.

Elite defenses (ND #2 in country) are a) not on the field long and b) have other elite players making plays and contributing, e.g. more than one player is making the tackles...

Offensive teams who control the ball for long periods of time (ND #11 in total time of possession) also contribute to less opportunities for their defensive players to be on the field.

This means that Teo had less opportunity's to generate high defensive statistics. IF Teo's statistics were all we used to evaluate talent, Teo would not be a Top 10 NFL pick...
