We must be watching a different quarterback each week. Mett has the speed of a hungover snail, has cement shoes on each week, has no pocket awareness, and still makes just as stupid decisions as JJ did. He has a LOT of improving to do before he's 1) highly sought after by any pro team as a first round draft pick or 2) he's the best QB in the S.E.C. Has he made improvements? Absolutely. Hopefully, he'll continue to improve and be the leader of this team in a more commanding and mature way next season. However, I'm not entirely sold on whether or not the LSU staff has the "know how" to develop him into the QB he should be, but that's a thread unto itself

lol, it isn't week 5 anymore. The guy had a breakout game against Bama and has played well ever since despite inconsistent receivers and oline play. He can flat out sling the ball.

JJ couldn't break 50 yards in 2 of his last 3 games and didn't break 100 yards in 3 of the last 4. Mett has thrown for 200+ in the last for and 250+ in 3 of the last 4 despite the drops and despite not having a Randle type receiver.

We're trusting Mett to throw the ball 30+ times a game now for a reason
