I think the complete lack of discipline for Suh, Schwartz's douche running after coaches and trying to fight them, and his poor game management might get him fired this year. He's a pretty terrible coach. It'd be scary to see what someone like Chip Kelly could do with the offensive talent they have. Then, bring in a guy like Steve Spagnuolo who has a history of making defensive linemen look like gods, and they could be very good, quick.

Stop assuming a coach can just make the transition from College to the Pro's. More times than not it doesn't turn out so well.

You guys must not look past the surface. Just check the list of injuries and the scores of their losses. He isn't the best coach in the world, but they have come a LONG way in the last three years. They were the worst team in football in ages four years ago.

Bear in mind that the Lions are down at least one RB, who may never play football again, and down pretty much their entire secondary. They were hiring guys off the waiver wire and putting them right on the field they were so depleted at one point this season. All that said, Schwartz gets one more year, based on the Lions resurrection from the dead. He has to fix the D, and the excuses won't work 2 years in a row.

With some good offseason moves (which the Lions have actually handled better the last two years), they could fix the issues on D and in the run game. Just look at the last minute losses to quality teams. At least three this season. They just need those two areas addressed, and they can become a legit contender.
