When I study, I can't listen to music with hooks. My brain goes with the hook, and so anything remotely catchy is off the table.
I could listen to classical, but I don't really know enough classical to compile an entire study playlist. Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring and Canon in D would definitely make the playlist if I could. One classical album I could listen to in full while studying is Requiem.
So basically, I end up listening to EDM while I study. It keeps me moving quickly and there aren't any hooks for my brain to go along with.
I could list a boatload of tracks because I literally have an 8 hour playlist for work/studying that is 90% EDM. But you'd be just as good off firing up Pandora and making a "Sander Van Doorn" station. It will be great for studying. Money back guarantee.
Some guy earlier mentioned Explosions in the Sky. I could probably listen to that while working/studying, but I've never tried.
