Don't assume Bama to the Cotton. They've already played one game in Dallas this year and LSU is closer. You also have to figure in the "let down" factor. The gumps won't be too fired up about travelling to the Cotton when they were planning on Miami. LSU would be thrilled to get the Cotton over the Chicken Bowl.
If it's OSU on the other side, LSU would be an intriguing matchup. LEs vs. his old team, plus the matchup that we SHOULD have had for the MNC last year.
Of course, there's the potential that the Cap One could take Bama and A&M would drop to the Cotton. BUT, if it's Michigan on the other side in the Cap One, would they really want to set up a Bama/Michigan rematch? I don't see the Cap One passing on A&M either way.
