All this means is higher ticket prices. Great job Les.

At LSU, Les isn't looking; but he is meeting w AD this week to discuss raises for his staff...
and to think soooo many rantards had gotten their hopes up over the possibility of Miles leaving.

Let him go! Get Gruden
We would be nothing but a spring board back to the NFL. I wouldn't be surprised if he bring his brother along with terms that Jay would be the next coach when he leaves. Keep Les.

Anyone posting gruden should be stoned in the town square

Don't understand the obsession either. Guy runs a very complex offensive scheme too that probably wouldn't translate to the college level very well...
Just saying. It might work in the NFL but doesn't do shite in NCAA. A kid has to understand how the offense works before he cane execute it. Probably why our offense is so vanilla. Miles has no confidence these guys can handle a more creative scheme.

I actually thought our secondary played well considering how overhyped our front four has been. Hard to blame a secondary when a QB had 6 seconds to throw.
We lacked DT pressure this year and it hurt Mingo/Montgomery who have played well overall, just not as dominant as expected.
I agree

I WILL agree with this.

You were pumped about tuberville being lsu's next coach?

Nothing to agree on. It's obvious. I'd take offense if I was LSU players calling me dumb.
Miles figures he can line his team up and overwhelm with superior athletes. That's what he did last year and it worked well because defense was so good at takeaways and ST put offense in good positions. That didn't work this year but Miles hoped it would. Partly why we dominated last year was because we could climb fast on teams and our all-world defense would shut them down past that point. When offense is getting 10 yard fields to work with, pretty easy to score. We were efficient. Simplifying our offense made it easier for the guys to understand.
Overall, Miles did a good job this year. Attrition, academic casualties, and injuries. Plus the SEC was far stronger than it was last year. Another reason we dominated last year.

Geez. Let Miles go if he wants, someone else will pick right up, and kick arse... No problem!!!

Even with Aub and Tenn being vacant..LSU could get whoever they wanted.

Wasn't this place saying Miles sucks because no one has tried to come after him. What does it say when one of your "rivals" goes after him?

In this case, it may say more about Arkansas than anything (and I like Miles).

At this point, if I'm alleva, I match the offer, but tell miles he has to find a real established OC. Pay raises for Wilson and chief.

What is Miles's buyout? I don't think arky would want to pay LSU any money
not reading through this whole thread. but if it hasn't already been mentioned, i'm sure the Tyson's and the Walton's wouldn't mind picking up whatever the buyout is. Don't fool yourself Arkansas has plenty of cash at it's disposal.

This would be the correct thing to do. Its not Chavis' fault the defense is beat down and exhausted. Hell they have to stay on the field 3/4 the time most of the games. And if he says no, then no $$$.
