I'm pretty sure it is my processor but I wanted the gaming board's opinion

AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1055T 2.8 GHZ

my gpu is a gtx 550 ti.

Which upgrade would improve my performance more? This processor is almost 2 years old

That is an AM3 socket correct?

If so, you might need a new MOBO also.

ETA:
I would go ahead and purchase a 3570K today while they are under $200 bucks. You can also get a $60 Z77 chipset board on the cheap.

If you are looking for something cheaper, say under $150 I would go for a FX-41XX (FX-4100 is fine) and they have great MSI MOBOs for sale @ $39.99 today.

yeah my mobo is old as hell, but if I get a new mobo, I would want a new case to go with it, and if I got a new case I would want a new power supply. frick

You can see if adding a bit more OC (or turning it down) makes a difference. If not, probably isn't the processor. I think ARMA might also be RAM intensive with all the things it's keeping track of. That being said, I've never played it, so no idea.

Just buy my case and power supply

But I'd go ahead and get an i7 3770k since it's ridiculously cheap today at $239.99 and a cheap mobo like the asrock pro4 or extreme4

It's pretty heavily cpu and ram intensive rather than gpu

Are these issues with day z or arma?
