If I remember correctly, 1 interception was thrown right to the defender - trying to squeeze it to a tight spot about 20-25 yards downfield, I think. One was caught by both teams but PHS came up with it - a deeper ball. The last one I think was under thrown, but that could be miscommunication with the WR on the route.

That QB for Barbe won it for them, though. Its true that they would be 3rd and 14 numerous times and he would either run for the 1st or stay free until his Receivers got open. He got sacked a couple times and the RB wasn't having too much success which is how they ended up with 3rd and long.

In Parkway's defense, Barbe's starters looked like grown men playing...they were tall and big (not the quarterback though). I was impressed that the parkway kids didn't get thrown around more.

I haven't seen or heard anything about WM. My opinion is that if they play traditional West Monroe football (with big boys pushing the other team around) and if they can control the clock (keeping Barbe's offense off the field) then WM will win.

Kris, not directed at you, so much as everybody. Friend informed me that Barbe football has a website where you can get updated stats and media guide, etc.: LINK

Looking it up, here are Quinn's numbers: 103 receptions, 1,971 yards, 24 TDs receiving. Fontenot's numbers: 222-for-332, 3,701 yards, 39 TDs, 10 ints and he also has 544 rushing yards on 137 carries. Galentine has 1,012 rushing yards on 178 carries and 15 TDs and also 49 receptions for 604 yards and 3 TDs. Desean has 38-682 and 7 TDs and Gunner Leger has 27-419 and 4 TDs.

Barbe averages 455 yards and 41.2 points a game, but they give up 399 yards and 24 points a game.

So yeah, to me it'll come down to whether Barbe can make stops. West Monroe is capable of holding Barbe below its average on offense. To me, it looks like West Monroe should be able to gain above its average on offense against Barbe's defense.
