Can anyone honestly say they don't think a slightly more creative offense this year may have won at least one of the games we lost?

Yes, we didn't lose to Alabama because we didn't have a creative enough offense. And we wouldn't have beat Florida by being more creative. Early in the season we couldn't do the basic things, like protect the QB, catch the ball, make the right reads, catch the ball, etc...

There isn't some magical creative offense that would have eliminated those mistakes. We were a pretty young and inexperienced team at key positions this year, when our offense clicked it was very very good.

We only put up 17 points on Bama. People talk about this game like it was an offensive masterpiece, but despite all of the yardage we didn't put up many points because the offense stalled a few times after putting together good drives.

You can blame the defense, but they only gave up 21 points which isn't too bad against the #1 team in the country.

If you're counting on your defense to hold every team to 14 points you're bound to be disappointed eventually, and your offense better be able to pick up the slack when disappointment happens.

I love this site ! I mean I really do. If i posted the earth is round I wound get 50 people arguing with me! I am not saying we don't have 1 or 2 great play calls a seasons we do but seriously, our offensive is boring and lacks Imagination. How many times a game are the announcers saying brilliant formation or wow that's brilliant! Case in point. Fla against Fla state ran a gate pass from Burton to Burton. Although the play didn't work it was fricking ART! The play was so wide open that the passer couldn't believe it and threw a duck. The last brilliant play I can remember was Wings fake punt and that wasn't called. Before that we had a 4 th down against bama at home 3 years ago where Deangelo Peterson took it almost all the way. I rewound it 15 times! We're missing that surprising brilliant, strategic play calling!
