The student section created STTDB because of the banning of Oh-e-oh. In 2009, Oh-e-oh was banned, but brought back briefly in 2010 before being banned again. STTDB was introduced in 2011 as a reaction and as a total insult to the administration that banned oh-e-oh. Once Neck was banned as well, it was on. STDDB became the rallying cry of the LSU student body against any University policy they didn't agree with (especially banning songs in Tiger Stadium). It became a joke to try to find a way to put STTDB in every school and Tiger Band song. The goal is to get the administration to realize that no matter what they do, no matter what they take away, the students will do what they want. If the administration had not banned oh-e-oh, there would be no STTDB. If there had been no banning of Neck, they wouldn't still be chanting it as it probably would have died off. The only reason students continued to chant it was because the song was banned.

The best way to get a college student to do something is ALWAYS to tell them not to do it.

And what they are trying to do is not going to work. It's like a bratty kid holding it's breath to get what it wants.
