Because the actual "Cotton Bowl" is a dump and is worthless. Once Jerry World was built, the brand name of the bowl game gained A LOT of ground.

I still can't believe that Texas and OU play in the "Cotton Bowl" each year...

that game is still considered part of the texas state fair and the cotton bowl stadium is on the fairgrounds .. but, it is only a matter of time before Jerrah gets that game at his place ..
