What's interesting is that the small/large school determination is made on the district level - meaning the Texas Div I champion might have a smaller enrollment than the Div II champ. But it just works out that way depending on the districts.

I will say this, it has really helped some schools that were on the low end of a class to become first time champs/powerhouses.

When each district sends the top 4 teams to the playoffs.....Winning the District Championship doesn't mean nearly as much as it did. I remember a time when only the Dist Champ went to the playoffs and 2 undefeated teams met at the end of the season and a one loss team stayed home.
