I guess that's where I'm going with this. This type of player has been/is a cog in our offense. Shepard isn't near as good as Sproles, but he's quick and is good in space and could 'presumably' catch the ball out of the backfield.

I don't think Cadet is the next player to fill that role.

Not many other players fit the role like Bush or Sproles. Maybe Kenjon Barner (Org.), D'Anthonty Thomas (Org.) Chris Thompson (FSU) or Andre Ellington (Clem)? Those guys are going to be high draft picks though.

There are plenty of other players you don't know about than just a few of "high picks". The saints have been great at finding those players. Unfortunately shep is not one of them.
