Davenport's senior year

If Logan doesn't come back for his senior year and selfishly I would advise him that he would have a chance at a first round slot if he came back for his senior year, how about moving Davenport back to DL for his senior year.
He doesn't seem to be in the mix for OT time, and surely he could compete for second team DL time with Thomas and Johnson next year.

Theres a reason he was moved to OL early on.

About the same probability of Maclin returning back to linebacker.

I don't ever remember a player who moved from DL to OL ever moving back to DL, but DL depth might be the only thing keeping LSU from having a solid championship team next year, and Davenport is a big man.

what if he seeks out Brandon Washington to be his Yoda?

Wasn't Davenport a 5 star d-line recruit?

Yes, but he played inferior competition like Al Woods did.

The NFL roster Al Woods?

I think Davenport is a victim of Chavis' preference for athletic defensive linemen. He probably would've stayed at DT and contributed and possibly started there under Pelini but with Chavis, he prefers his entire line to be athletic guys who are capable of pass rushing. Look at the entire roster of DT's and you will see a common skill-set and then you see Mickey Johnson who looks odd compared to the others. I wonder how he is going to fit.

Yes, that Al Woods. Most LSU fans would agree that he was a bit of a disappointment with the hype he brought with him out of high school. I don't think he started until his senior year and the team that drafted him(Saints) cut him before the season even kicked off.

No, I'm talking about Maclin who is now at DE. He started off as a linebacker but got red-shirted and moved during his sophomore year.
