Shitty D against PAC-12 offenses. National championship, right?

I don't see Oregon beating Kansas State if it comes to it. Klein would fricking shred Oregon's D at full strength, and their own D isn't too shabby.

This year, honestly, it could happen. Last night a poster in the Oregon-Cal game thread asked the question of when the last time was that a national champion had given up 50+ points in regulation as if that automatically disqualified Oregon.

Fact is, if they draw a match-up against a team whose D can't slow Oregon's offense enough to outscore them, they have a realistic shot at it.

Shitty D against Because of PAC-12 offenses

Originally that made no sense.

Pac-12 offenses are far from shitty. Screen passes, simple H.S. out patterns, and running up the gut aren't staples of a great offense and aren't staples of the Pac 12's offensive creativity...or lack thereof:) - those belong to the conference with great D's - am i right? The varied offenses, pro passing and spread...makes the D's look worse.
