I was at this game, I was a senior in high school.
And the joke evolved. "Did you hear Bear Bryant beat his wife?" He asked what time it was and she said "20 to 10".

Used to be the old joke that Bear hit Mrs. Bear because he asked her what time it was and she said 20 to 10.
