Grizzlies vs. Warriors
Where, when: Oracle Arena, 9:30 p.m. CDT, Oakland, Calif.
TV, radio: SportSouth; WMFS (92.9-FM/680-AM)
Records: Grizzlies 0-1, Warriors 1-0
Lineups
Grizzlies: Mike Conley, 6-1, Tony Allen, 6-4, Rudy Gay, 6-8, Zach Randolph, 6-9, Marc Gasol, 7-1.
Warriors: Stephen Curry, 6-3, Klay Thompson, 6-7, Harrison Barnes, 6-8, David Lee, 6-9, Andrew Bogut, 7-0.
THE SKINNY
The Grizzlies simply need a perimeter scorer other than Rudy Gay to make shots. Tony Allen, Mike Conley, Jerryd Bayless, Wayne Ellington and Quincy Pondexter combined to go 7 of 33 from the field in a season-opening loss Wednesday night against the Clippers. Meanwhile, the Warriors under coach Mark Jackson are trying to transition from a run-and-gun offense to a more balanced attack with center Andrew Bogut on the roster. Who to watch? Curry, who will be gunning to make up for a stinker in an opening-night win against the Suns. He missed his first 10 shots and finished 2 of 14 from the floor and 0 for 6 from beyond the arc.
