I didn't get to watch the game, so I'm curious at what point did Bama take their foot off the gas, offensively speaking?

Bama had just over 400 total yds against Miss St and Troy had just under 600 total yds against Miss St. Did Bama have any trouble at all moving the ball on Miss St?

We backed off about midway through the third.

No. The put 21 points on MSU in the 1st quarter. After that, they put the secret playbook away for LSU.

We scored our first 3 touchdowns with ease, and then Miss. St. stepped up a little bit defensively. Then we scored two other TDs pretty easily in the 3rd quarter, IIRC.

They got up on Troy early and took their starters out, and being an extremely heavy passing team, Troy threw all over their 2nd and 3rd string. That is what an MSU poster told me on the SEC rant, anyway.

We scored TDs on our first three drives (maybe 3 out of the first 4, I was a little hammered) and then coasted on from there.

Doesn't make a tinker's dam what happened last week, this is Alabama vs LSU and it's gonna be a war! Come Sunday everyone who played is gonna be hurtin' and a lotta fans gonna hurtin' too, wishing the booze hadn't flowed so free.

Love this game, it's what SEC football is all about. Good food, good booze, and rabid fans on both sides, what could be better?
