Nah. I have to believe they have the capability to brew good beer, they just have no interest in actually doing so.
ETA: Although, ever since the merger a lot of the old long time AB guys have been leaving the company to start their own micro breweries in STL.

I guess they would be trying to clone the old Budweiser? If so, that would be very hard to do. Budweiser is an extremely hard beer style to make perfect since it has no flavor all off flavors are heightened. Brewing a full bodied ale is much easier.
