Well, there's 9 in the box, with no fear of anything happening over their heads between the hashes.
We don't play action enough to even respect the possibility. Since our TE's are attached to the hips of our tackles, the DE's are better served to time a deflection than rush the QB.
It's a self fulfilling prophecy when you never establish the ability to throw the ball consistently. What I can't understand is why play action and TE seam routes are not used, when we've established the run.
Our routes are not complex, and surely Mett is not given more than two possible targets. How can the fake be that disruptive to his read, mechanics, or release. And, if so, why is he still taking all of the snaps?
