As silly as the Twitterverse may seem....this has turned out to be a pretty cool experiment! I've been "twatting" for all of 3+ weeks now. Started after the Florida game and before the SC game....when we felt that our team needed to know that we believed in them and that we had their back. Win or lose, purple and gold forever. At first, it just seemed like the right thing to do. You'll see comments on this thread like "if you think a tweet is gonna win this game (meaning the SC game) then you're dumb." No, we didn't believe a tweet would win the game, but when our boys felt their worst...we were able to let them know we believed in them.
And two things happened when we started "tweeting" en masse.
1. The players started referring to us as #tigernation and prior to the SC game, they communicated that they needed our support and they needed Death Valley to be loud. After the SC game (and since) the players have communicated their appreciation for the tweets, the support, and the love.
2. Basically, we just send short "pep talks" to all the players and we try to include #LSU13and1 in our tweet. And here's what's cool about this: If you are like me...you adore Sonic Sam. I love that kid! He is a wonderful representative of our school. I am proud he is a Tiger. Now, would I ever have had a chance before to tell Sam how much I appreciate him? Probably not. But now I can. And the kicker? You know the guys get your message and HEAR what you are saying in that they retweet your message or sometimes even tweet you back. This is a great tool to support our team and communicate with them directly.
It might not win the game....but a little self confidence goes a long way. Go join Twitter right now and help us let the guys know this week that #TigerNation BELIEVES in them!
WE GOT THIS!!!

I couldn't agree more! I think the direct link to the players is what makes this so great...
I'm gonna edit the title... We need a big purple and gold push to build up everyone's confidence.. Don't resign to defeat... I know elephants are big but you really think they could stand up to 90000 tigers on Saturday night?
Death Valley, where every Elephant dream (including the ones they never forget) come to die!
