re: Hypothetical involving Alabama, Oregon and Notre Dame

Alabama certainly catches a break in avoiding the top 3 SEC east teams in the regular season and having Michigan and Arkansas both be worse than expected.
However, there's some hocus pocus going on here in trying to frame Oregon's schedule out to be much stronger if any.
Missouri may well be weak but what does say about Arizona St?
LSU may not be as good as advertised but the offense was hardly struggling more than Oregon's against Washington, who didn't seem outmatched by Stanford.
I'm not saying Alabama's schedule is all that tough but, if they go through the SEC championship game there is a good chance they'll be the only one of these three (Oregon and Notre Dame) that faces 2 teams that end up in the Top10.
I also say this as someone who thinks the PAC12 is a solid conference that may be lacking numerous elite teams but is filled with teams good enough to challenge on a given day just like the SEC.
