I graduated in '96, so things may have changed... but this is how it went when I was there:
If you are underage and caught on campus with alcohol (whether you live on campus or not) - First offense you are required to take a 3 hour "alcohol awareness" class. 2nd offense - Your parents are notified and there is a 6 hour (2-day) course and a sitdown or video conference with parent or guardian.
CP lived off-campus and is 21... so the alcohol rules would be very different for him. His Dad is a retired cop, too FWIW.
