"What specifically would you change with the offense and what adjustments would you have made in Fla game specifically?"
Increase the passing percentage to about 30-40%.
Utilize the TE's.
Run RB screens more if rush is a problem.
Use RB hot routes over the middle al la Urban Meyer.
Run more sweeps and/or mis directions as game reaction dictates.
Throw deep at least 3-5 times per game
Utilize every three step drop play I could muster.
Use more play action.
Might even like to try 4 wides every now and then.
You have to make the opposing team defend the more of the field. We also have to quit coddling Mett making him and everyone else afraid to make a mistake. We have to run the variety of offensive plays routinely so when we need them this is not the first time we have done something like that.
If the coaching staff is to afraid to let Mett throw the ball on UF's 5 yd line then they need to put someone else in. I am a Mett and a Miles fan but I would rather see the team trying things and making mistakes than not trying anything. Hell, Payton Manning threw three picks in the first quarter the other night - you didnt see them backing off the game plan.
One thing I forgot... When you are only sending out three receivers against six DB's no wonder Mett looks like a dumb cluck back there holding the ball. Nobody is open!
