My main complaint is that people are bitching about this way longer than they should, and that, in and of itself, is a bigger problem than what he said. The man was put on trial in the real court system, not just the cowboys and indians of FA. And now he as to sit out 4 games. Put the damn issue to bed. I know they are journalists, but is there nothing else to write about?

The decision came down Friday. Seems still within the realm of acceptable discussion period. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the independent commission set up for this ripped Terry, Cole, and the FA. I think all are acceptable bits of fodder for criticism, and I think Chelsea should be urged to do something further regarding both Terry and Cole. It also doesn't look very good that this independent commission pretty much said Chelsea, as a club, were complicit in Cole's lie.

Racism continues to be an issue and not just in football. We've all seen what Terry said in the Youtube video. There has to be consistency to crack down on it. As I said, Chelsea can't be silent on this issue then go after someone who tweets the same thing to Mikel after he has a bad performance.

Over a week ago. And the piling on has been occurring for almost a year.

Yeah, where people throw bananas on the field at black players, or people are openly discriminated against in general, but when's the last time that happened in England?

Honestly, people say offensive things all the time. TM7 tweeted "If u rant kill urself. Just drink your beer and watch me do work...consistently," because he was upset that some clown on TD got ripped apart for starting a thread saying that he would go Top 5. John Rocker fricked with the city of New York and was chastised for it... for an appropriate amount of time. These are just two examples, but I would argue that either of the instances were equally offensive.

Where's the outrage over Terry being tried in court? Does anyone else not find that more ridiculous than anything he could have said?
