Does Miami Metro every catch murderers? Or do they all just dissappear?
Does Dexter leave any of the murderers to be arrested?

He kills the ones that justice failed to punish, so yes, there are others who are caught by Miami Metro and jailed.
He kills the ones that "get off" or aren't caught, etc.

Season 7 Spoliers
Easily the worst part of the season premier was the ridiculous kill of the week in the airport. Other than being totally implausible, seemed like a huge dick move. The whole department wants to catch a cop killer and he prevents them from doing that. After fricking Deb's world all up, he could have thrown her a bone and helped catch that guy.

Yeah it seemed like the perfect opportunity to do his job...and not be selfish

Not to mention that when he breaks into the unclaimed luggage room there is a security camera directly above him (as I'm sure there are throughout the airport). But it's Dexter - believability has never been its strongest suit.

This. Dexter clearly is not satisfied with justice. He is driven to kill bad guys himself to satisfy an innate need to kill. He could have taken out a lot of them much more easily by simply sharing information with his team. Buy hey, he has saved the tax payers a lot of money.

I liked Deb finding out the way she did but the kill was just nuts.
Film of him all over the place. Probably film of him making the kill.

He isn't being selfish. He is a psychopath. He can't help it.

Yeah but the cop was killed while off investigating details about the crime scene...that Dexter created. So maybe he felt personally responsible for that death in some way.
