No, your last post didn't make a bit of sense.
Tottenham deserved to win today. I'm mad, but at ourselves over anyone else.

I guess this is you coming through on your trolling me promise, right? Lacing nonsensical sentences together while deflecting from a conversation? You're better than this, I know. You're in troll mode.
Carry on.

Managers that can't control the locker room are a bad fit. No matter what team or what players. If you don't have the respect of your players it doesn't matter how good you are or may be.
This.
thenry is one of the best posters on here, but he is not acknowledging this simple fact.
Even if it is the players' fault, the manager will not work if the players do not respect him. AVB could be great, but it was not going to happen at Chelsea.

Yes, I'm 8 beers down, we beat Arsenal and PK United lost. I don't hate AVB, to say I do is ridiculous. Do I want him at Chelsea? No, but I don't wish ill will.

Thank fricking God, someone gets it.

Well, at least you're honest.
Saw that the Reds guy got a no-hitter last night. Or was it two nights ago? Either way, it's been a fun weekend for you so far.
And as for AVB, he didn't fit in at Chelsea. Players didn't work with what he wanted to do. You have your man, and you're at the top of the table.
Enjoy it all.

It was last night. All that I have ever said is that AVB wasn't the right fit at Chelsea. Anyone that knows me outside of here knows that I don't think he is a bad manager, but again he couldn't control the locker room. That NEVER works. I know more about baseball than any other sport except maybe golf, but if a manager loses the locker room he loses his job in every sport. Doesn't mean they suck, it means they aren't the right fit.

And I would agree. It just seems like you always have something negative to say about the guy whenever he's mentioned.

Today I said typical AVB, get a good result against Man U and lose at home to the Baggies. That is what Chelsea dealt with all year and Tottenham has had similar experiences so far. What did I say that sparked such outcry? Oh, that's right it was you and Thenry that were obviously looking for an outlet for their pain today. If it makes you guys feel better, I'll take it.

I'm not just talking about today, and I didn't start anything about AVB today. All I said was that you have a funny way of showing that you don't wish ill will on AVB. It seemed to me that you just don't like the dude and don't think he'll ever be a good manager. That's my interpretation, and I could be (and was) wrong.
I could care less about having to find an outlet. We got beat. I didn't start any outcry, you're just trying to blow something out of proportion.

Who wouldn't? 98% of anyone connected with the club is constantly looking for contact in the box. So frustrating.

listen dude, when frank fricking lampard can't adjust to a scheme, and he refuses to do what he's supposed to do, it's all on the coach
Basically the gist of my argument. Players are supposed to do what manager tells them. If they can't, and even worse they refuse, it's not the coach's fault.
I'll leave it at that.
AVB is a more than competent manager. It's difficult to call any manager who led a team to an undefeated record in a top flight domestic league season bad, regardless of the quality of the league.

Except it's a faulty argument since RDM has sat both Terry and Lampard numerous times without losing the locker room.
Some managers are not cut out to manage the egos present on Chelsea's squad. The fact that you refuse to accept that as part of a manager's job is absurd.
AVB was trying to make a circle a square. He didn't have the personnel required to implement his system and simultaneously get positive results, the fundamental expectation of a Chelsea boss. He lost the locker room by favoring his system over success, not because Lampard, Terry or Drogba didn't like sitting on the bench.

Thenry is obviously in la la land thinking players are supposed to listen to their managers. This isn't U8 homeboy. These are grown arse men. In a perfect world you'd be correct, but lets be honest. The world is far from perfect.

Unfortunately, you are correct. The majority of coaches, especially 33 year old ones, have to earn respect amongst their players. AVB isn't Sir Alex, Mike Krzyzewski or Nick Saban. He doesn't have the luxury of his famed reputation or resume speaking for him. Those players owe him nothing, and it is up to him to gain their respect.
Posted on 9/29/12 at 3:42 pm to LSUSOBEAST1
I totally understand that opinion. I'm just railing against the idea that it's obviously a manager's fault when his players refuse to listen to their superior, or simply can't adjust to new tactics.
