RV/Generator question...

Looking at bringing an RV down for the South Carolina game. If we do, we will be in the VetMed lot. I know there are some restrictions on generators but im not sure exactly what they are or how strictly they are enforced. The only generator we have right now is a Briggs&Stratton 5K watt that we used for hurricanes and im guessing those are frowned upon?
Any recomendations of a generator/power inverter that may get the job done?
And when does the VetMed lot open?

After reading the web page, I looked and never saw anything against portable generators. Only thing the guide says is that it has to be vented with a stack to get it up in the air.
The RV generators are usually enclosed so they're more quiet then portable ones. The portable ones that I've seen so far are the inverter type, and are really quiet themselves.
We have a group near us with one of the school bus conversions (not TUB), and they put theirs on the roof of the bus. Up and out of the way.
Get some foam board and build a box around it, put a stack on it and you probably wont get any complaints.

If you have the money, go buy a Honda EU 2000 portable. Only about $750 I believe.

The ventilation stack is more an issue of fumes rather than sound. If you have a portable, just put it on top the rv once you're parked and you should be fine. imho fwiw tbh

When i parked in Vet Med anyone who did have a loud/portable they parked around the permiter and ran a long extension cord to behind the sea land containers and that worked well.

I use EMT to extend my muffler away for exhaust and more importantly helps with the noise.

I've been wanting one for a long time but new they are $1350 for the EU2000. Used, people want $900.

I park my 5th wheel in Touchdown Village and use two Honda 2000 generators. Those generators have to be vented so that the exhaust pipe is as high as the RV. I never found an extension exhaust pipe for my portable generators like the motor home guys use so I built my own. I have a pair of 4" pvc pipe secured to the ladder of my RV. I then had to get an "L' shaped pipe welded to generator. When I set up the generators the welded pipes fit up in the 8' extensions. LSU has safety officers who go around and check for this. I was checked the last game and am usually checked once every year.
